Anil Kapoor Said No To Sridevi’s Chandni & You Wouldn’t Believe The Reason
Fanney Khan actor Anil Kapoor had earlier mentioned that he had said no to Rishi Kapoor and Sridevi starrer Chandni. While talking to a leading tabloid, the actor has now revealed the reason
Earlier, it was
reported that Anil Kapoor had said no Yash Chopra, who had offered him Rishi
Kapoor’s role in Chandni opposite Sridevi. And the reason was not known. Recently
while talking to a leading tabloid, the Fanney Khan actor revealed why he had
actually said no to Rishi Kapoor’s role.
While talking to
a leading daily, the actor revealed, “I had said no to Chandni, because I
didn't want to sit in a wheelchair.” He further continued saying, “I was just
not in a frame of mind to sit in a wheelchair through an entire film. I was, in
fact, one of the first people to call Yashji and tell him, "Picture hit
hai!" He couldn't believe it. I had done two films [Mashaal, Vijay] with
him, and both hadn't done well.”

Anil had gone on
record to say that he did a few films for signing amount. Clarifying what he
meant, the actor said, “No, not the signing amount; for the whole thing -
advance mein. But the past is past. Why should I say now, why I did them? But
1942 and Lamhe were the kind of exciting films that were not being made [back
then]. Yashji wanted to do something post-Chandni, since it was a success.”
When Anil Kapoor
was asked about Mr. Indian sequel with Boney Kapoor, he said, “It's a tough
film to make. Obviously we have discussed it. But being the kind of people we
are, it has to be something really special. So whenever it has to happen, it
will. Boney and I are really positive people.”
